Toyota has finally launched the refreshed Land Cruiser Prado in India. The updated SUV was first unveiled at Frankfurt Motor show last year and it recently made its India debut at the Auto Expo in February this year. The Land Cruiser Prado facelift is priced at Rs 92.6 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is the third update given to the current-gen premium luxury SUV, which was originally unveiled back in 2009.

The updated Prado now comes with a new hood, fenders, grille, projector headlamps and LED tail-lamps. It also gets a revised front and rear bumper design. The cabin on the refreshed model now comes with a heavily updated dashboard, instruments and also gets a new 8.0-inch infotainment screen with panoramic view monitor that’s mounted low to improve outward visibility. It also gets heated and ventilated front seats.

For India, the Land Cruiser Prado will be available with the same 3.0-litre diesel engine as the outgoing model. This motor delivers 170hp and 410Nm of torque and is mated to a five-speed automatic gearbox. The four-wheel-drive system comes with three modes – comfort, normal and sport.  Toyota will continue to sell the model in India as a fully imported unit, just like its predecessor.
