After having taken the wraps off the five-seater Tivoli in January this year, SsangYong seems to be preparing a seven-seater version of the SUV. This SUV will be based on the company’s XLV concept that made its debut at the Geneva motor show in 2014. This suggests that this seven-seater could be slightly longer than the Nissan Qashqai, though official dimensions haven't been revealed.

The test mule spotted on international roads seems stretched beyond the C-pillar to accommodate a third row of seats. The XLV concept also featured a seven-seat layout, where the middle seat could be slide between the second and third row. The production Tivoli however will get a standard layout.

The seven-seater SUV is likely to become the first model from the manufacturer to get a hybrid powertrain, with a 1.6-litre diesel engine working in tandem with an electric motor as seen on the XLV concept.
