Tata Motors will launch the new Zest compact sedan on August 12, 2014 in Mumbai.

The Zest is a first of a new-generation of offerings from Tata. It is structured from ground up and comes with upmarket interiors and plenty of features. Powering the Zest is Tata’s new 1.2-litre Revotron turbo-petrol motor and also a 1.3-litre Quadrajet diesel engine.

The Tata Zest will compete with the likes of the Honda Amaze, Maruti Swift Dzire and the recently-launched Hyundai Xcent compact sedan.

In a segment first, Tata will launch the diesel Zest with an optional automated manual transmission and it will mostly likely be the most affordable diesel automatic sedan in India. Bookings for the Zest sedan have already commenced at Tata outlets all over India.
