Subaru’s updated Viziv concept will take centre stage for the brand at this month's Tokyo motor show showcasing the brand's vision for "enjoyment and peace of mind."  The concept car will be influenced by its predecessors, featuring the round fog lamps and an aggressive front bumper similar to the Viziv 2 Concept.

The four-seater can be accessed via 'suicide' doors. The SUV features a digital instrument cluster and a central infotainment screen. Also a camera system is used to monitor the driver's alertness. The Viziv is said to be capable of avoiding a 360-degree crash as Subaru has linked radar sensors and GPS mapping to its camera-based Eyesight system. It is also capable of autonomous driving on the motorway, as  well as autonomous parking.

The Viziv's AWD hybrid powertrain has the same 1.6-litre diesel engine as the Levorg, working in conjunction with an electric motor located at the rear. In the Viziv Concept 2, a single electric motor was used to power the front wheels alongside the engine, while dual motors supplied torque to the rear wheels. The first Subaru Viziv concept was revealed at the Tokyo motor show in early 2013, with two updated versions shown in late 2013 and 2014 respectively.
