Skoda is readying a special edition of the Rapid sedan for our market.

As can be seen in the spy photo, the Skoda Rapid special edition is likely to get exterior cosmetic tweaks such as black inserts for the headlamps with projector units, black surrounds for the grille and also blackened wing mirrors. Special 16-inch ‘Comet’ alloy wheels and blackened fog-lamp inserts are a possibility as well. Blackened styling bits on the special edition could imply that the carmaker will call it the Skoda Rapid Black edition.

This special edition Skoda Rapid is expected to enter our showrooms in a approximately six months and when launched, is likely to come with the new 104bhp 1.5-litre diesel engine shared with VW. A DSG automatic gearbox and paddle shifters may also be plonked in.

Interiors on this special edition Rapid are also expected to be spruced up and may feature a touchscreen audio system and special black accents.
