Lamborghini has launched the rear-wheel-drive Huracán  LP580-2 at Rs 2.99 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi), following its reveal at the LA motor show. The new Huracán  gets minor styling changes along with a less powerful iteration of the 5.2-litre V10 engine.

The Huracán LP580-2 gets revised bumpers designed to increase downforce over the front wheels. The 19-inch alloy wheels also get a different design and come with bespoke Pirelli P-Zero tyres. Inside, the Huracán  LP580-2 is equipped with features and fittings borrowed from its AWD sibling, the Huracán  LP610-4.

The new Huracán's 5.2-litre V10 makes a more modest 571bhp; the AWD version's V10 develops 602bhp. Torque output is rated at 53.1kgm. Power is sent to the rear wheels through the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The ECU has also been tweaked for the car to develop about 75 percent of its torque around 1,000rpm.

The rear-wheel-drive Huracán  weighs 33kg less than its AWD sibling and runs the 0-100kph sprint in 3.4 seconds – 0.2 seconds slower than the more powerful Huracán.

The new Huracán  LP580-2 will be sold alongside the Huracán  LP610-4.
