Skoda has launched the anniversary edition of the Rapid with prices starting from Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

The limited-edition Rapid gets the addition of body graphics along the lower door panels and colour contrast roof rails, to distinguish it from the standard model. Inside, the Rapid gets a wood trim, while the top-spec Elegance Plus trim will get a TrackPro car-tracking system.

The TrackPro system allows the owner to receive location updates via SMS and get alerts if the car is being towed away or if the device is being tampered with.

Commenting on new introduction, Ashutosh Dixit, Director (Sales, Service & Marketing), Skoda Auto India said, “The Skoda Rapid has been wowing buyers with its style, practicality and refinement since its launch in India, and now, thanks to Skoda’s commitment to enhance ownership experience and maximising value, customers ordering the new Rapid Anniversary Edition will get even more value for their money.  It’s a testament to Skoda’s enduring legacy of offering clever and practical solutions for its patrons. With an amalgamation of technical features, added safety measures and appealing aesthetics, the Rapid Anniversary Edition will be a novel offering in the competitive C segment.”

The anniversary edition Rapid will be available at all Skoda dealerships across the country only in the month of September and be available in all trim levels.

In addition, Skoda has also introduced dual airbags as standard across all versions of the Rapid.
