Fiat has launched the Punto Evo starting at Rs 4.55 lakh. The Evo is the latest generation of the Punto hatchback.

Considerable stlying changes have been undertaken on the Fiat Punto Evo, both on the outside and in. It's more attractive than the outgoing car with the new grille, sweptback headlamps and the power bulge on the bonnet giving it an all-new face. At the rear are clear lens tail-lamps that employ LED elements and chrome inserts on the bumper that mimic dual exhaust ports. The basic body shell and stance of the car remain the same.

On the inside, there are clear resemblances to the Linea sedan. The dashboard is dual-tone, with some textured soft plastics on the front and the entire theme of the cabin is a lot curvier. The top ‘Sport’ trim on the diesel gets all-black interiors.

Mechanically, the Fiat Punto Evo continues to be powered by two pairs of petrol and diesel motors. There's a 67bhp 1.2-litre petrol, an 89bhp 1.4-litre petrol and a 1.3-litre Multijet diesel in two states of tune – 75bhp and 90bhp. All engines are mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
