Peugeot Rifter 4x4 van concept to debut at Geneva

Off-roading MPV concept gets more rugged styling and a 4x4 system for the rough stuff.

Along with the new 508, French carmaker Peugeot is set to bring a more rugged version of its new Rifter van, called the Rifer 4x4 concept.

As its name suggests, the concept is meant to be an off-roading version of the standard MPV sold in international markets. As such, it feature a ride height that’s up by about 76mm and knobby off-road-spec tyres. The roof rack carries an Overland tent, there are a hundred LEDs for 300 watts of auxiliary illumination on the car and there’s even an electric mountain bike mounted at the rear.

Design-wise, the concept is finished in shiny grey with black and yellow trim on the outside while the interiors sport a similar theme with grey fabric, black Alcantara, yellow neoprene trim, a leather steering wheel and chrome accents.

The concept is powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine that makes 130hp and 300Nm of torque, which is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox.
