Nissan India has launched the fourth season of its Student Brand Manager programme for management students across 30 cities in India. The company expects to receive over 4,000 entries, which will eventually be narrowed down to 30 selected candidates.
The big draw for the participants will be that the winner will not only get the tag of Nissan Student Brand Manager, but will also receive a new Nissan Micra.
The selected students will be encouraged to showcase their creative talents in helping Nissan to create a larger footprint in India.
The range of activities will vary from creating unique events of their own from setting up test-drive days at their respective colleges to creating buzz about brand Nissan among the student community.
The campaign will be open to management students across the country, including the Eastern region, which has now joined the pool of B-Schools. According to Nissan, it will also target young talent from Tier 2 cities as the carmaker believes that there’s a lot of untapped potential here.
Launching the campaign, Nitish Tipnis, director, sales and marketing, Hover Automotive India, said, “The fact that the NSBM programme is entering its fourth consecutive year reflects our commitment to identify and nurture management talent. It also helps us build our brand association with the young people of India who will be tomorrow’s leaders of the corporate world.”
The selected students will receive a grant for six months to help them conceptualise and implement ideas on Nissan brand visibility and impact. As a NSBM, they will also get a Nissan Micra to conduct activities such as test drives and host marketing activities and align their thoughts to the product propositions.
Also, this time around, Nissan will specifically look for students who are passionate about driving and automobiles alike.
