At Nissan’s latest ‘Vision’ global business outlook event, the Japanese carmaker pulled the covers off two all-new SUVs, namely the third-gen Juke and fourth-gen X-Trail. The new Juke EV is Nissan's third all-electric offering globally, while the X-Trail will be available with a hybrid powertrain for the first time with the fourth-gen model.

2026 Nissan Juke EV

The Juke has always been known for its quirky styling, and the new-gen model leans hard into the trope. It sports a radical design with creases on virtually every panel, as well as a blacked-out finish for the bonnet, roof, and much of the rear end. Other design highlights include a split-headlight setup, asymmetrically styled alloy wheels, edgy body cladding, and C-pillar-integrated door handles.

While Nissan has yet to confirm any details surrounding the new Juke’s powertrains, the electric SUV is underpinned by the same CMF-EV platform as that of the Leaf EV. To that end, the Juke EV could offer the Leaf’s 52kWh and 75kWh NMC battery options, both of which are paired with a front-mounted motor.
2026 Nissan X-Trail hybrid

Compared to the Juke, the new X-Trail (also known as the Rogue in some markets) is a much more conventional affair. Up front, the X-Trail notably features a large blacked-out section that houses the headlights, an array of hexagonal DRLs, and a hexagon-patterned grille.

The side profile is upright and includes a sizable glass area that's sharply kinked aft of the C-pillar, while the rear end sports chunky LED tail-lamps and a muscular bumper.

Under the bonnet, the new X-Trail comes with Nissan's e-POWER series hybrid setup, where the wheels are primarily driven by electric motors and the combustion engine simply serves as a generator. Specifics remain under wraps, but Nissan has at least confirmed that the X-Trail will use dual motors, suggesting an AWD layout.
