2014 Jaguar XJ.

Jaguar’s XJ limousine is a great combination of performance, refinement and luxury. Once the epitome of grace, space and pace, the XJ has fallen off the radar of late. But now JLR has something exciting around the corner.

The carmaker is about to start local assembly of the XJ here and will offer the same great package at a Rs 95 lakh starting price (ex-showroom, Maharashtra). This is a considerably lower price tag compared to the base CBU XJ which earlier started at Rs 1.16 crore (ex-showroom, Mumbai, pre-octroi).

The massive Rs 21 lakh drop in price also comes along with the addition of some serious kit. The carmaker will carry out some updates to the interiors of the locally assembled car, adding some new features like two individual reclining seats in the rear with three massage settings, rear seat height and lumbar adjustment, a new central console and armrest, electric side blinds and LED reading lights in the rear. The front seats will get five massage settings and headroom in the rear will be improved by 13mm. In the top Portfolio trim, you’ll get seat memory, 10.2 inch rear entertainment screens and  a ‘business’ table in the rear as well. Really a lot of car for the money.
The locally assembled XJ sedan is expected to be here by June.
