New Jaguar EV India launch 2026

Jaguar’s new all-electric 4-door GT, based on the Type 00 concept, will be unveiled by late 2025 and arrive at showrooms thereafter. Markets like the UK and the USA are set to receive the new EV in what the company says will be the first phase scheduled for late 2025 or early 2026 and India would be covered under phase 2.

Speaking to Autocar India during the preview of the Type 00 in the UK, Rawdon Glover Jaguar MD said, “Late 2026 into early 2027 is when we should launch the 4-door in India, during phase 2.” Prices have not yet been announced but this will, as Glover says, “move the brand higher up from the current mass-premium segment”.

Glover is very confident about the models India and says that the Jaguar brand can definitely maintain and command an elevated position in India. He’s especially confident about the potential given the new styling direction. “I think the designs of the new vehicle will play out very well in the luxury market in India and this would be one of those must have vehicles for the elite Indian customer set,” he said.

Lower priced Jaguar likely to follow

While the 4-door GT would be the brand shaper, there will likely be more affordable Jaguars to follow. Glover says “there will be vehicles that will come after, that may perform a different role and target a wider audience.” Whatever form and price these vehicles arrive with, all will be EV only given the brands repositioning into an electric only car maker.
