The 2015 Ford Mustang has leaked online ahead of its official reveal.

These leaked images, reportedly taken from a scanned magazine article, were posted in a Mustang forum but have since been circulated online.

While the new Ford Mustang still has a boxy, agressive muscle car stance, its styling reveals there have been some noticeable changes for this latest generation. A new front grille, more in line with Ford'scurrent European offerings can be seen, alongside new headlight cluster designs containing LEDs.

At the rear, the familiar three-bar tail-light design remains above the rear bumper, which incorporates a new diffuser.

These pictures also reveal a retro-styled interior, with a three-spoke steering wheel shown alongside an integrated infotainment display.

The new Ford Mustang has already been spotted in several spy photos in the run up to its reveal. Ford has confirmed the car will go on sale in international markets next year, following an expected debut at the New York motor show. This sixth-generation Mustang will be the first to be sold in right-hand drive format, and is likely to be powered by a range of V6 and V8 engines as well as Ford's familiar 2.0-litre, four-cylinder EcoBoost engine.

Ford has reportedly worked from a clean-sheet design with the new Mustang, giving the car an all-new platform which incorporates independent rear suspension. The firm has also attempted to save weight, leading to reports from the US which claim the car is up to 181kg lighter than the current model.
