Mitsubishi Expander MPV teased ahead of unveil

Mitsubishi is readying an all-new three-row MPV, slated to be called the Mitsubishi Expander.  This new is likely to be unveiled at the upcoming 2017 Indonesia Auto Show in Jakarta next month.  The carmaker has released teaser images of the Expander MPV earlier. 

The image shows a wide multiple-slat grille with sharp-looking LED lamps at each end. A closer look reveals that they are LED daytime running lamps and the actual headlamps are positioned below with the front bumper. 

The Mitsubishi Expander MPV, like the latest Pajero Sport SUV uses the latest Dynamic Shield design language. The MPV was earlier previewed in concept form by the name of Mitsubishi XM concept.  The production-spec Expander MPV will get a three row layout with a either a seven or an eight seat configuration.   

The sole engine powering the MPV will be a 1.5-litre petrol motor. Mitsubishi has no plans to add a diesel engine or AWD tech to the Expander MPV.  There is no news of this model coming to India however Mitsubishi is readying India launch of its Outlander SUV in the coming months. Also, the next-gen Pajero Sport SUV will come to India next year.
