The Mercedes Classic Car Rally is back by popular demand. First organised in 2014 to commemorate Mercedes-Benz's 120 years of motorsport, the event organized by the brand in partnership with Autocar India is now an annual affair awaited by many.

The participation at this rally has grown tremendously over the past two years. While the bulk of the participants hail from Mumbai and Pune, a number of them are travelling from as far as Delhi, Bengaluru, Kutch, Chandigarh and Goa this year. Several participants have either extensively restored their cars or purchased new (well, new-old) ones too.

The one-day event will showcase a model from almost every Mercedes platform and every generation of the flagship SL, S-Class and E Class from the 1930s to the 1990s. Some of the rarest and most exquisite Mercedes-Benzs in the country will be on display, including the Mercedes Nurburg, Adenauers, 170Vs and even a Mercedes Unimog. The cars will be chronologically displayed and showcased at Nariman Point, followed by a drive to Bandra and back flagged off by Roland Folger, MD and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India.

Over 70 cars are expected to participate making it probably the largest-known Classic Mercedes gathering in India. The following is the schedule for the rally, which will take place on November 27, 2016
