Mercedes-Benz GLC Electric: All you need to know
Will get a 94kWh battery, over 700km claimed range and 490hp dual motors

Internationally, the Mercedes-Benz GLC Electric 400 4Matic is offered with a 94kWh battery pack that has a claimed WLTP range of 715km. The battery powers a dual-motor AWD setup that produces a combined output of 490hp and 800Nm, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0-100kph in a claimed 4.3 seconds, which is fairly quick considering its 2.5-tonne kerb weight.
It supports up to 330kW DC fast charging, which can top up the battery for a claimed range of up to 300km in 10 minutes. The international-spec GLC Electric 400 4Matic comes standard with 4.5-degree rear-axle steering and air suspension.
Which features do you want in GLC Electric?
Has plenty of star-shaped illuminated elements

The Mercedes GLC Electric features a large, rounded-edge grille with illuminated elements, tri-star-shaped LED daytime running lamps (DRLs) and projector LED headlights. The side profile is relatively simple, with up to 21-inch alloy wheels, flush-fitting door handles and slim cladding on the wheel arches.

At the rear, the GLC Electric gets star-shaped LED tail-lights with circular outlines, connected by a gloss-black trim. While the front Mercedes logo is illuminated, the rear features a solid 3D badge. Internationally, the 400 4Matic is also available in an AMG Line guise with a more aggressive grille and sportier alloy-wheel designs.
A massive screen occupies the dashboard, but some physical controls are also present

Inside, the GLC Electric features a massive 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen, which Mercedes-Benz claims is the largest display it has ever fitted to a car. The setup seamlessly integrates the driver’s display, infotainment touchscreen and passenger display into a single unit. It runs on the fourth-generation MBUX interface and features a built-in AI assistant. Unlike many modern EVs, the GLC Electric retains physical controls on the steering wheel and centre console. It has a five-seat configuration.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC Electric is expected to be priced in the Rs 80 lakh to Rs 90 lakh (ex-showroom) range. It will rival the BMW iX3 Long Wheelbase, which is slated to launch in India in 2027.
