Mercedes-Benz launches ‘Sport Edition’ A-class, CLA and GLA

The ‘Sport Edition’ is limited to 54 units of the CLA, and 108 units of the GLA and GLA; available only until July 10, 2016.

Mercedes-Benz has introduced ‘Sport Editions’ of the A-class, GLA and CLA to celebrate the UEFA Euro Football Championship 2016.

The special-edition cars get AMG-style sporty front and rear bumpers along with front and side skirts, a ‘Sport Edition’ badge, black hub caps and carbon-fibre covers for the rear-view mirrors. The A-class additionally gets a roof-mounted rear spoiler.

The interiors of the cars feature sporty stainless steel pedals. However, the cars remain mechanically unchanged. The ‘Sport Edition’ models will be on sale until July 10, 2016, which is the final day of the tournament.

Commenting on the occasion, Roland Folger, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes- Benz India said, “Mercedes-Benz is a proud sponsor of the World Champions of Football, the German national team. The new ‘Sport Edition’ of the A-class, CLA and GLA celebrates the spirit of the UEFA Euro 2016 in India. We are confident that our customers will appreciate and adore these sporty versions as much as we do and we keep our fingers crossed for the German national soccer team.”

To further show its support, Mercedes will also offer ‘Sport Edition’ merchandise which includes footballs, key chains, caps, arm bands and string bags, with the German team’s branding.

The prices for the ‘Sport Edition’ models are listed below:

Mercedes A-class 180: Rs 25.95 lakh

Mercedes A-class 200 d: Rs 26.95 lakh

Mercedes CLA 200: Rs 33.24 lakh

Mercedes CLA 200 d: Rs 34.25 lakh

Mercedes GLA 200: Rs 34.23 lakh

Mercedes GLA 200 d: Rs 35.26 lakh
