An image of McLaren’s upcoming 650S replacement has been leaked online ahead of its official reveal at the Geneva motor show in March.

Referred to internally as P14, the future Super Series model is yet to be named. The image, shows that the car sports a completely new and much sharper front-end design. The sides of the car feature prominent aerodynamic bodywork, suggesting it will produce more down force than its predecessor.

McLaren’s familiar side intakes have been ditched for smoother panels, and the car’s roofline is also quite different from that of the outgoing car, thanks to its new Monocage II structure.

No technical detail for the upcoming model has been released, but its new carbon-fibre structure made an appearance in earlier pictures. The new frame uses Dihedral doors and is said to offer improved access for passengers.

Earlier spy pictures showed the car’s rear design more clearly, with the wide tail-light design of the 650S swapped for thinner light strips. The test cars also featured twin-tail-pipe exhausts that exited in the middle of the rear.

The 650S replacement is expected to use a developed version of McLaren’s turbocharged V8 engine, with capacity likely to increase from the 3.8 litres of the current models. Power should be up from the 675LT’s 675hp, and the new car’s 0-100kph time will likely slip under the three-second mark. Top speed could also surpass 330kph.
