    Massive discounts on leftover BS4 cars, SUVs

    Ahead of the April 1 deadline of the BS6 emission norms, many dealerships across the country are offering attractive discounts in a bid to clear existing BS4 stock. While most dealers have already exhausted stocks of BS4 cars and SUVs, there are still quite a few leftover units at some dealerships. We have compiled a list of some of the last-minute deals you can avail.

    All prices ex-showroom before discounts as of February 20, 2020. Discounts are subject to
    change depending on city and availability of stocks. Contact your local dealer for exact discounts.

    2019 Mercedes-Benz S 450 
    Discounts: Up to Rs 22 lakh off
    Price: Rs 1.39 crore   
    Mercedes’ flagship sedan is big on space and comfort, and the petrol engine is powerful and refined. The BS4-compliant luxury limousine can be had with benefits of up to Rs 22 lakh.

    2019 Audi Q7 TDI 
    Discounts: Up to Rs 13 lakh off
    Price: Rs 72.21 lakh onwards      
    The Q7 comes with benefits of up to Rs 13 lakh. It’s well put-together, luxurious and gets a refined diesel engine. A facelift is expected later this year but it will only have a petrol mill for some time.

    2019 Audi A4 TFSI 
    Discounts: Up to Rs 8.5 lakh off
    Price: Rs 41.49 lakh onwards            
    The strong points of the A4 TFSI are its well-put together cabin, refined 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine, well-sorted ride, and spacious cabin. Benefits of up to Rs 8.5 lakh are on offer.

    2019 Mercedes-Benz GLC 
    Discounts: Up to Rs 6 lakh off
    Price: Rs 50.69 lakh onwards
    Mercedes is offering benefits of up to Rs 6 lakh on the remaining stock of its pre-facelift midsize luxury SUV. The GLC is spacious and refined but a bit short on equipment compared to the facelift.

    2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA 
    Discounts: Up to Rs 5 lakh off
    Price: Rs 31.72 lakh onwards
    The CLA appeals to those looking for luxury and style. The coupé design, however, impedes on rear headroom and performance is understated. It is available with benefits of up to Rs 5 lakh.

    2019 Honda CR-V diesel 
    Discounts: Up to Rs 5 lakh off
    Price: Rs 30.67 lakh onwards  
    Honda’s flagship SUV feels upmarket, is well equipped and in diesel guise offers seating for
    up to seven. The engine lacks punch, though. The diesel CR-V comes with benefits of up to Rs 5 lakh.

    2019 Honda Civic diesel 
    Discounts: Up to Rs 2.5 lakh off
    Price: Rs 20.54 lakh onwards
    The low-slung Civic looks sporty and has the dynamics to match. Its engines, however, are unexciting. The diesel can be had with benefits of up Rs 2.5 lakh, subject to the model year. 

    2019 Renault Captur 
    Discounts: Up to Rs 2 lakh off
    Price: Rs 9.49 lakh onwards 
    The Captur will become a petrol-only SUV, post BS6. So, those looking for a diesel should get
    one now. You can earn up to Rs 2 lakh off across the range.

    2019 Volkswagen Ameo diesel 
    Discounts: Up to Rs 2 lakh off
    Price: Rs 7.13 lakh onwards
    The Ameo will be discontinued but it’s a car with a punchy engine, a DSG gearbox option, and good build quality, though it’s not as spacious as its rivals. Benefits of up to Rs 2 lakh are on offer.

    2019 Nissan Kicks 
    Discounts: Up to Rs 1.68 lakh off
    Price: Rs 9.55 lakh onwards
    Like the Captur with which its shares its mechanicals, the Kicks will also discontinue its diesel engine. Interested buyers can get this midsize SUV with benefits of up to Rs 1.68 lakh. 

    2019 Ford Endeavour 
    Discounts: Up to Rs 1.5 lakh off
    Price: Rs 29.20 lakh onwards
    The Endeavour has two engines on offer – a 2.2L and a 3.2L. However, both will be replaced with a new 2.0L unit. The current stock comes with benefits of up to Rs 1.5 lakh. 

    2019 Tata Harrier BS4 
    Discounts: Up to Rs 1.3 lakh off
    Price: Rs 12.99 lakh onwards
    The Harrier is big on space and comfort but comes with a manual gearbox only. Discounts of up to
    Rs 1.3 lakh are on offer. BS6 models have more power and also offer a diesel-auto powertrain. 

    2019 Tata Nexon 
    Discounts: Up to Rs 1.25 lakh off
    Price: Rs 6.58 lakh onwards
    The pre-facelift Nexon scores big thanks to its distinctive looks, spacious cabin and well-sorted dynamics. You can avail benefits of up to Rs 1.25 lakh on remaining stock. 

    2019 Hyundai Verna 
    Discounts: Up to Rs 95,000 off 
    Price: Rs 8.18 lakh onwards
    With a facelift and BS6-upgrade around the corner, Hyundai’s midsize sedan is on sale with benefits of Rs 95,000 extended to its petrol and diesel models.

    2019 Nissan Micra 
    Discounts: Up to Rs 95,000 off
    Price: Rs 6.63 lakh onwards
    Nissan Micra makes for a good city car with an easy-to-drive nature, and comes with either a petrol-CVT or a diesel-manual combination. Both versions can be had with up to Rs 95,000 off.

    2019 Mahindra Scorpio 
    Discounts: Up to Rs 85,000 off
    Price: Rs 10.16 lakh onwards
    The Scorpio is due for a generation change but Mahindra will also update the current model to meet BS6 regulations. The current Scorpio comes with benefits of up to Rs 85,000.

    2019 Datsun Redigo 
    Discounts: Up to Rs 85,000 off
    Price: Rs 2.79 lakh onwards
    Datsun’s entry-level hatchback is big on space, and gets a pair of frugal engines, but it feels
    built to a cost. An updated model is due this year. You can get up to Rs 85,000 off on the hatch.

    2019 Hyundai Elite i20 
    Discounts: Up to Rs 80,000 off
    Price: Rs 5.59 lakh onwards
    Hyundai has updated the petrol powerplant on the i20, while the diesel is still a BS4 unit. A new-generation i20 is also due soon. The current BS4 models can be had with benefits of up to Rs 80,000.

    Big discounts on 2020 Model Year BS4 cars and SUVs

    Jeep Compass BS4            
    Discounts: Up to Rs 2.5 lakh off
    Price: Rs 15.60 lakh onwards
    The Compass offers a good ride-handling package, a reasonably spacious cabin, and good off-road ability in 4x4 spec. You can enjoy up to Rs 2.5 lakh off in benefits.

    Renault Duster 
    Discounts: Up to Rs 2 lakh off
    Price: Rs 7.99 lakh onwards  
    The BS6 Duster will be a petrol-only model, so those looking for a diesel version should get their hands on one now. The SUV is being offered with benefits of up to Rs 2 lakh.

    Volkswagen Vento 
    Discounts: Up to Rs 2 lakh off
    Price: Rs 8.76 lakh onwards
    The Vento feels tough, is spacious, and quite well kitted as well. The midsize sedan can be had with benefits of up to Rs 2 lakh. This is the last chance to pick up a diesel or DSG-equipped Vento.

    Mahindra Marazzo 
    Discounts: Up to Rs 1.79 lakh off
    Price: Rs 9.99 lakh onwards
    The Marazzo scores high on practicality and comes with a refined but a bit underpowered diesel engine. The BS4-compliant MPV is being offered with benefits of up to Rs 1.79 lakh.

    Hyundai Creta 
    Discounts: Up to Rs 1.25 lakh off
    Price: Rs 9.99 lakh onwards
    With the new Creta set to launch in March, the current model is being offered with benefits of
    up to Rs 1.25 lakh. The Creta is well equipped, and its light controls make it city-friendly too.

    Mahindra XUV300 
    Discounts: Up to Rs 70,000 off
    Price: Rs 8.10 lakh onwards   
    Mahindra’s compact SUV is offered with a BS6-compliant petrol engine but the diesel mill is still BS4. Buyers can enjoy up to Rs 70,000 off on the BS4 models.
