Maruti Suzuki has launched special editions of the Alto 800 and K10 in India. The MS Dhoni-inspired special edition is only available on the LXi trim of the Alto 800, priced at Rs 3.36 lakh. As for the Alto K10, the special edition is available on the LXi and VXi trims at a price of Rs 3.54 lakh and Rs 3.71 lakh respectively (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi).

The new Alto 800 and K10 have received some cosmetic changes to set them apart from the regular versions. These changes include Dhoni’s signature decal, along with body graphics and seat covers featuring the number ‘7’. It also gets reverse-parking sensors, a one-Din audio system with MP3, USB and AUX compatibility, gear-boot cover, steering-wheel cover, spoiler, door-sill guard and ambient interior lighting. Both models remain mechanically unchanged, carrying forward the Alto 800’s 796cc three-cylinder petrol engine and the K10’s 998cc, three-cylinder K10 petrol engine.

Maruti Suzuki is offering the special edition models with the option of two interior colour combinations – Black/Silver or Red/Blue. Dhoni fans can also avail the additional features at a price of Rs 16,777 for the Alto 800 LXi and Rs 12,777 for the Alto K10 LXi and VXi. The special edition Alto 800 and K10 have been introduced in association with the upcoming movie ‘MS Dhoni – The Untold Story’, and will be available for sale at Maruti Suzuki dealerships from the first week of October 2016.
