Lamborghini launched its flagship hypercar, the Aventador LP700-4, in New Delhi today. The car carries a price tag of Rs 3.69 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

The latest in the long line of V12 powered Lamborghinis and successor to the Murcielago, the Aventador features some of the most cutting-edge technology ever seen on road cars, which includes a carbonfibre monocoque chassis.

The 6.5-litre V12 is new from the ground up, unlike previous flagship Lamborghinis, which used heavily evolved versions of the company’s 1964 original. The ‘LP’ in its name stands for ‘Longitudinale Posteriore’, owing to the motor’s longitudinal mounting in the rear of the car, while Its power output of 700ps (691bhp) and its four-wheel-drive system give it its 700-4 suffix. The company claims the Aventador will blitz past the 100kph mark in a scant 2.9sec.

The car was unveiled by Mr. Satya Bagla, Managing Director, Exclusive Motors Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. James Page, Marketing Manager South East Asia and Pacific, Automobili Lamborghini.
