The Jaguar C-X75 hybrid supercar will be seen in the upcoming James Bond film, Spectare. This project supercar was cancelled for production earlier by Jaguar.
Currently, the carmaker is working on the C-X75 to make it suitable for filming use, according to our sister magazine, Autocar UK.
For production purposes, the C-X75 will be equipped with Jaguar’s supercharged 5.0-litre V8 instead of the original hybrid powertrain seen in concept form. There are rumours that the car may be driven by the prime antagonist in the film.
Jaguar has not officially confirmed which cars are involved in the film at this stage but has indicated that official announcements will be made next year. This is not the first time that James Bond’s enemies will be driving Jaguars, in the 2006 movie Casino Royale, both the Jaguar XJ8 and XJR had made appearances.
A Jaguar XKR also starred prominently in 2002's Die Another Day, battling Bond's Aston Martin Vanquish.
The car James Bond is expected to drive in the upcoming production will be the recently revealed Aston Martin DB10. Aston Martin itself has been using the hashtag "Good to be Bond" on Twitter, imitating the official Jaguar line and further indicating the brand's involvement with the upcoming film.
