Isuzu India to increase the prices of SUVs and pickups

Price increases from January 1, 2018 and is expected to be between 3 to 4 percent; price revision expected from other manufacturers, soon.

Isuzu has announced revised prices for its pick-up and SUV range. The V-Cross is priced at Rs 14.32 lakh, the mu-X 4WD at Rs 26.80 lakh, and mu-X 2WD at Rs 24.83 lakh. All prices, ex-showroom, Delhi.

Japanese SUV and commercial vehicle maker, Isuzu today announced a price hike for its entire range of pick-up and SUVs. In the statement issued today, the company said that the price increase is expected to be between 3 to 4 percent and will be effective from January 1.

Post the increase in prices, the D-Max pick-up is expected to witness an ex-showroom price surge of Rs 15,000 while for MU-X SUV, the hike can be as high as Rs 1,00,000.

Earlier, auto majors like Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra had indicated a price surge of their products as part of its cyclical price revision.

Given the increase in prices of essential metals such as steel, copper and aluminium, the entire industry is expected to push the prices of their products in order to retain their margins.
