Hyundai has released a teaser image of the RN30 concept ahead of the its official unveiling at the Paris motor show. The concept previews the N performance version of the new i30 hatchback. It appears to have an aggressive aerodynamic design with a wide-mouthed grille in the front end, frowning light designs and bulging arches that sit on large wheels. However, as seen on the development cars, the production version of the i30 performance model will be significantly toned down in comparison.

The RN30 concept reaffirms Hyundai’s claims that its hot N-badged models will look very different from its regular cars.In the past, the RM16 concept and N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo were among the first concepts to show Hyundai’s performance intent.

The production Hyundai RN30, or i30N as it may be called, will use a turbocharged 2.0-litre engine with an expected 264hp on offer. Its rivals will include the Volkswagen Golf GTI and the 2017 Ford Focus ST.
