Honda Mobilio MPV launched at Rs 6.49 lakh

The new Mobilio diesel variant launched at a starting price of Rs 7.89 lakh will compete with the Maruti Ertiga, Chevrolet Enjoy, Nissan Evalia and Toyota Innova.

Honda has officially launched its first MPV for India, the Honda Mobilio at a starting price of Rs 6.49 lakh for the petrol variant and Rs 7.89 lakh for the diesel variant (both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
 
The Mobilio gets four variants - E, S, V and RS. The sporty Mobilio RS will come to India in September, in diesel variant only.  
 
The Mobilio MPV gets seven colours, however the RS variant will also get an exclusive Crystal Black colour.
 
The Honda Mobilio petrol variant will be powered by a 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine, which also does duty in the new Honda City. The petrol engine produces 117bhp and 14.8kgm of torque.
 
The Mobilio diesel variants get Honda’s new 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine which also powers the Honda Amaze and the Honda City. The diesel engine develops 99bhp and 20.4kgm of torque and returns a claimed 24.2kpl. 
 
The Mobilio will pose as a direct competition to the Maruti Ertiga, Chevrolet Enjoy, Nissan Evalia and Toyota Innova.
 
Honda grew 83% in the last year, thereby making India the biggest growth market for the carmaker.
