Launched on July 8, the all-new Jazz from Honda has seen a good response in the domestic market. With cumulative sales amounting to over 9,000 units, the Honda Jazz became the single largest contributor to Honda Cars India's 18% growth selling 6,676 units in the month of July alone. The Jazz has been popular with first-time car buyers as well, contributing to almost 45% of the total sales volume in the first month.

Commenting on the customer reaction, Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India said, “We are extremely happy with the response received for the all-new Jazz. The Honda Jazz has been able to expand the premium hatchback segment and its volumes will significantly contribute to the growth we are expecting this year.”

To keep up with the growing demand, Honda has been juggling production of the Jazz at its facilities by reducing production runs for the Mobilio MPV and Amaze sedan. The introduction of the CVT variant set a new benchmark in the segment and it currently accounts for almost 25% of the sales.
