Honda has unveiled the refreshed Brio in Indonesia. Spy pictures of this car were seen online a few months ago. The facelifted Brio gets a new front end, and spruced-up interiors, akin to that on the recently launched updated Honda Amaze.

Also, Honda has introduced the sportier Brio RS trim in Indonesia that sits on 15-inch dual-tone wheels. Cosmetic additions on the Brio RS include power-folding wing mirrors with LED turn signals, side skirts and projector headlamps with LED guide lights like the ones seen on the Mobilio RS.

The front fascia, now similar to the Mobilio's, sports a new bumper and grille, while the rear end remains the same save for a revised tail-lamp design. Also new are 14-inch rims which come as standard.

One of the most important updates in the Brio facelift is the new, premium dashboard, like the one seen on the facelifted Amaze, which replaces the earlier, more rudimentary set-up. It features a new digital air-con control panel and an Eco indicator. The top-spec Brio RS gets a 6.2-inch touchscreen unit and an all-black cabin with orange stitching, while the regular models make do with a 2-din JVC audio system and a dual-tone dash.

Mechanically, the updated Brio sees no changes and continues with the same 1.2-litre petrol engine that develops 90hp. For Indonesia, the engine comes paired with either a CVT automatic or a five-speed manual gearbox. In India, Honda offers the Brio only with the five-speed manual gearbox and a torque-converter 5-speed automatic. However, with the CVT gearbox being introduced on the facelifted Amaze, Honda might introduce the CVT option on the Brio facelift as well.

Honda’s next big launch for India is the BR-V SUV, which is likely to hit showrooms next month.
