Harman bags global product leadership award

Frost & Sullivan, industry analyst firm, has awarded Harman International Industries the 2014 Global Product Leadership of the Year Award for high-end car audio. F&S analysts cited Harman's leadership in five key performance criteria, including product features and functionality, innovative elements, product acceptance, customer value enhancement, and product quality.

The award is based on a 10-step process in which various automotive audio suppliers are evaluated across a range of detailed criteria like performance, value and best practices.

Frost & Sullivan analysts drew upon Harman’s experience and success in its 60 years of existence in the automotive space. Among the innovations cited were Harman’s Ceramic Metal Matrix Diaphragm (CMMD) speaker technology, Dual Voice Coil subwoofers, QuantumLogic surround technology, and energy-efficient GreenEdge audio, which delivers premium performance with more than twice the power efficiency of traditional systems.
