It was only in March this year that Ford gave its hatchback, the Figo, a much-needed facelift, which brought styling in line with the Aspire compact sedan, added more equipment to the model and introduced new 1.2-litre and 1.5-litre petrol engines. Now, Ford has revised prices for the hatchback with effect from April 1, 2019.

The base petrol Figo Ambiente is now priced at Rs 5.23 lakh, a hike of about Rs 8,000, while the diesel Figo Ambiente now costs Rs 6.13 lakh, representing a Rs 18,000 increase. Interestingly, while prices for the base variants have gone up, prices for the higher Titanium and Titanium Blu variants have decreased by a larger margin.

Petrol Titanium variants, which are available with 1.2-litre-manual and a 1.5-litre-automatic options, now costs Rs 39,000 less than the before– while its diesel sibling sees a downward revision of about Rs 29,000.

Coming to the sportier top-end Figo Titanium Blu variants, the petrol and diesel versions are now priced at Rs 6.65 lakh and Rs 7.55 lakh, respectively – a reduction of about Rs 29,000 and Rs 19,000.

As before the Figo facelift is available with three engine options – a 96hp, 1.2-litre petrol and 100hp, 1.5-litre diesel paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, along with a more powerful 123hp, 1.5-litre petrol unit offered with a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

The Figo facelift rivals the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 and Volkswagen Polo.
