Maruti is likely to launch its facelifted Ertiga MPV this October. Changes to the exteriors of the new Ertiga, revealed earlier in Indonesia, remain purely cosmetic. The front fascia gets a wider, thicker front chrome grille, and an all-new bumper with chrome inserts. The side profile remains unchanged except for the new alloy-wheels on the top two trims. The rear gets a reworked bumper, with the bootlid receiving tail-lamp reflectors and a thick chrome bar.

The Ertiga’s interiors remain visually similar to the outgoing car. The car boasts improved NVH levels, and gets the addition of electric folding wing mirrors, keyless entry, climate control, driver window auto-up function, an engine stop-start button, and Maruti’s SmartPlay infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen display. On the safety front, all variants of the Ertiga come with dual airbags up front, and ABS with EBD, save for the base ‘L’ trim, which only gets a driver-side airbag.

The Ertiga will get retuned, more fuel-efficient versions of the current engines, which include the familiar 1.4-litre K14 petrol, now producing 91.73bhp, against the earlier 93.7bhp; torque figures see a mild bump from 13.2kgm to 13.25kgm. The ever reliable 1.3-litre DDiS diesel motor will also come reworked on the new Ertiga, and will also borrow SHVS tech from the Ciaz. Besides the five-speed manual transmission, available on all variants, the VXi+ trim will get the option of a four-speed automatic transmission, making it the only automatic MPV in its segment.

The diesel variants of the Ertiga get the addition of a gear-shift indicator.

Listed below is the variant break-up for the Maruti Ertiga facelift.
