Maruti Ciaz ZXi+ automatic now on sale

The top-spec variant gets the same four-speed automatic gearbox as the VXi+ and ZXi; is priced at Rs10.19 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Maruti is offering the Ciaz ZXi+ with the option of an automatic transmission. While the ZXi+ is priced at Rs 9.06 lakh, the Ciaz ZXi+ AT comes with a price tag of Rs 10.19 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The automatic transmission is the same four-speed unit that was earlier available only on the VXi+ and ZXi variants. Mechanically unchanged, the sedan is powered by the 1.4-litre four-cylinder petrol motor that churns out 91bhp and 13.26kgm of torque.

The other mid-size sedans to offer an automatic transmission include the Honda City, Skoda Rapid, Volkswagen Vento and the Hyundai Verna. While the Maruti Ciaz and Honda City offer automatic variants only on their petrol variants, the Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento, and Skoda Rapid get the option of an automatic transmission on both petrol and diesel variants.
