    Chevrolet Cruze facelift revealed

Chevrolet has unveiled an updated Cruze sedan. The current-gen Cruze was unveiled back in 2015. Since then, the American carmaker has given the Cruze various cosmetic tweaks keep the model fresh.

Up front, the new Cruze gets an all-new bumper with a much wider grille on which a prominent Chevrolet “bowtie” logo takes centre stage. Additionally, the Cruze gets new alloy wheel design and minor tweaks to the rear bumper, as part of this update.  For the North American market, the Chevrolet Cruze gets a 1.4-litre petrol engine and a 1.6-litre diesel engine.

The Chevrolet Cruze in its previous generation was sold in India as a direct rival to the Toyota Corolla and the Hyundai Elantra. The latest generation of the Cruze never made it to our shores, as it was deemed too expensive for our market, considering low volumes.

General Motors currently manufacturers the Beat Essentia sedan and the Beat hatchback in India. However, these models are export-only, after the automaker stopped selling its products in the Indian market about a year ago.
