The all-new Toyota Camry Hybrid has been launched in India, priced at Rs 29.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The luxury saloon is the first locally manufactured hybrid vehicle in India, which is manufactured at Toyota’s plant located in Bidadi, Karnataka.

The new Camry Hybrid comes with a 2.5-litre petrol engine assisted by an electric motor, with the hybrid system producing a total power output of 202bhp. The engine is mated to an electronically-controlled continuous variable transmission (e-CVT). The hybrid system’s battery is nickel metal hydride, while the battery’s capacity stands at 6.5amp/hr. The battery pack itself sits behind the back seat.

In terms of features, the car comes with a powered reclining rear seat, three-zone climate control, ventilated front seats, tilt and telescopic steering column with memory function, and a collapsible headrest for the front passenger seat. Safety features include four airbags, hill start assist control, vehicle stability control, traction control and corner sensors.
