    3. Chiron successor to make global debut next month

The one-off Chiron Super Sport L’Ultime marks the end of the supercar’s eight-year production run, which has been limited to just 500 hand-built examples. It pairs a bespoke exterior paint with commemorative badging. This final model also marks the end of the carmaker’s W16 engine, which is set to be replaced in the Chiron's successor by a hybridised naturally-aspirated V16.

Bugatti Chiron Super Sport L’Ultime: what’s new?

The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport L’Ultime makes use of the same colour split of ‘Atlantic Blue’ with ‘French Racing Blue’ that the supercar was unveiled with back in 2016. It is also adorned with unique hand-written places and events that “helped to build the Chiron”. There’s also a hand-written number ‘500’ on the body, the wheel caps and rear wing, and it is also engraved onto the engine cover housing the 1,600hp, 8.0-litre W16.

The mirror wings feature the French flag, while the grille is finished in Atlantic Blue and features a unique horseshoe mesh with centered stripes. Mirroring the exterior, the interior features different shades of blue. The limited-run L’Ultime gets the same powertrain as the Chiron Super Sport.

    Bugatti Chiron successor launch details

A few months back, Bugatti had announced that its new hypercar will be revealed in June this year. As mentioned earlier, Bugatti will part ways with the W16 engine used by the Chiron and its Veyron predecessor, and move to an all-new V16 hybrid engine – the company’s first hybrid powertrain ever.
