The Jaguar F-Type is all set to receive a new variant in the form of the R-Dynamic Black, for which the British carmaker has already begun accepting bookings. The new model brings with it a number of sporty cosmetic updates and sits below the range-topping ‘R’ trim.

    • Gloss black exterior elements
    • Three colour options
    • 450hp, 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine

    Jaguar F-Type R-Dynamic Black: what’s new?

As the name suggests, this new model will be based on the R-Dynamic trim level and will benefit from a variety of blacked-out exterior elements as standard. These include the gloss black finish on the 20-inch twin-five-spoke alloy wheels, grille surrounds, window surrounds, front splitter, side vents and the badging. It is worth mentioning that all this, save for the darker wheels, can be optioned onto the F-Type with the ‘Black Pack’. Jaguar will offer the R-Dynamic Black in three colour combinations – Santorini Black, Eiger Grey or Firenze Red.

Coming to the interior, the R-Dynamic Black comes equipped with the slimline performance seats with 12-way adjustment, and trimmed in either Ebony (beige) with Light Oyster contrast stitching or Mars (red) with Flame red. The contrast stitching is also visible on the door cards. Besides this, tech from the F-Type facelift – like the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system – is also present.

Jaguar F-Type R-Dynamic Black: engine and gearbox

Under the hood, the British sportscar is offered with a 5.0-litre, supercharged V8 petrol engine that churns out 450hp and 580Nm. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Do note, there is a more powerful iteration of this engine making 575hp and 700Nm that is paired with an all-wheel-drive system, available in the top-spec F-Type R. Additionally, the F-Type range also has a smaller 300hp, 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine.

Jaguar F-Type R-Dynamic Black: expected price

Seeing as this new model is a derivative of the V8-powered F-Type R-Dynamic, which is priced at Rs 1.36 crore (ex-showroom, India) for the coupe, the R-Dynamic Black could command a small premium.
