Audi has launched its performance-oriented S4 saloon

Based on the A4, the S4 gets visual tweaks to distinguish it from its A4 sibling. These include platinum-grey inserts for the front grille, which houses a prominent S4 badge, aluminum-finish wing mirrors, unique 18-inch alloy wheels and special V6 T badges.

The S4 comes with a 3.0-litre TFSI V6 petrol motor, churning out 333bhp and 44.8kgm of torque, mated to a seven-speed S-tronic gearbox. The S4 also features Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system. The S4 gives an ARAI certified fuel economy figure of 10.4kpl. The S4 can touch 0-100kph in five seconds and has an electronically limited top-speed of 250kph. The S4 also comes with a sports suspension which can be lowered by 20mm.

The interior gets a leather multi-function sports steering wheel (a flat-bottomed steering-wheel is available as an option), brushed aluminium trim and a driver information system with colour display. The S4 comes with a lighting package that includes xenon headlights with LED tail-lamps.

The S4 is priced at Rs 45.3 lakh (ex-showroom, Maharashtra).
