Audi has given its A7 Sportsback a facelift. Amongst the key changes are minor cosmetic tweaks, reworked engine options and new transmissions.
Audi has added a 3.0 TDI ultra to its range. The front-wheel-drive variant gets a 215bhp turbocharged diesel engine. There is also a choice of two other diesels and two petrols; all these comply with EU6 emission regulations.
The front-wheel drive versions get a redeveloped seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, replacing the eight-speed ‘multitronic’ CVT. Some engine options are now also combined with new lightweight brakes.
On the outside, the five-door coupe gets Audi’s new ‘singleframe’ grille and resculpted front and rear bumpers. Audi has also reworked the exhaust, which is now wider and trapezoidal. The A7 Sportsback also gets LED headlamps as standard much like the Audi A8 facelift, in addition to the existing LED daytime running lights. Dynamic indicators with a sweeping function in the direction of the turn are also standard at the back and optional for the front light units.
Inside the cabin, the A7 Sportback facelift now seats Audi’s latest generation modular infotainment system. Some new upholstery and trim colour options are also now available.
Pricing for the facelifted Audi A7 Sportsback is likely to remain similar to the current car. Delivery in the international market is expected to begin in the last quarter of this year.
