Aston Martin will produce a Bond edition of the DB9, and has confirmed that this will be the final encore to the DB9 name, as 2016 will see the DB11 take the baton ahead. Limited to 150 units only, the DB9 GT Bond edition gets the 6-litre V12 engine making 540bhp, also seen on the DB9 GT. It will also feature the rear mid-mounted Touchtronic II six-speed transmission.
The car gets a new paint scheme called the ‘Spectre Silver’ and subtle ’Bond Edition’ badging on the exterior. Also engraved on the brushed aluminium sill plate is the 007 logo with the numbering of the car. The headrests also showcase exquisite embroidery with the 007 logo. Also on the inside is the AMi II touch-sensitive Aston Martin infotainment system, programmed with a special Bond-edition start-up screen.
The Bond edition gets 20-inch 10 spoke gloss black alloy wheels. A new front splitter teamed with a carbon-fibre rear diffuser add to the look of the special edition. The bonnet vents, grille and side stakes also get bright brushed aluminum.
However, the special edition is equipped with some classy custom-made accessories. It comes with a 21-inch Globe-Trotter trolley case and an Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150M James Bond edition watch with a special Aston Martin strap.
In a statement, Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer said, "In the run-up to the launch of the new film Spectre, which sees Bond behind the wheel of the DB10, we are very happy to be able to celebrate the partnership with this superb limited edition DB9 GT collector’s item.

The bespoke model, called the DB9 GT Bond edition, is limited to 150 examples; powered by the same 6-litre V12 motor as on the DB9 GT.
