The 2014 Nissan GT-R has been revealed and benefits from suspension, steering and brake tweaks, an improved interior and the addition of LED headlights.

The minor model year changes, says the manufacturer, “offer smoother ride comfort, more refinement and benchmark fit and finish, in the spirit of a great ‘GT’, while delivering breathtaking performance and road-holding.”

The suspension changes amount to improved electronic control of the shock absorber valves and changes to the front suspension spring rates to help ensure that the tyres always stay in contact with the road, even on rough surfaces.

Nissan claims the brakes have been recalibrated to offer a more linear response at slower speeds, while the steering has been retuned to aid low-speed manoeuvring.

It will also henceforth be sold with Dunlop SP Sport Maxx GT 600 DSST CTT tyres fitted as standard. These are said to have stiffer sidewalls to help improve steering response when cornering hard.

Buyers can also choose an optional carbonfibre rear wing and bootlid, which Nissan says is half the weight of the standard parts.
