The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra has set a new lap record for electric vehicles around the Nurburgring race track in Germany. The Chinese tech giant's high-performance sedan with the an optional track package lapped the 20.8km-'Ring in 7 minutes and 4.957 seconds, beating the top-ranked Rimac Nevera by 0.341 seconds. Notably, an SU7 Ultra prototype did a complete lap in 6 minutes and 46.87 seconds in 2024, and the road-legal version is slower by just over 18 seconds.

Xiaomi SU7 Ultra powertrain, performance
Three-motor setup, 0-100kph takes 1.98 seconds
In the top Ultra variant, the Xiaomi SU7 gets a triple-motor arrangement - two at the rear and one at the front - which makes a whopping 1,548hp and 1,770Nm (both combined figures). That's enough to hurl the SU7 Ultra from 0-100kph in just 1.98 seconds, reaching a top speed beyond 350kph.
These in-house developed e-motors source power from a 93.7kWh battery pack with a maximum discharge rate of 16C and a maximum discharge power of 1,330kW. On the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle, the SU7 Ultra has a range of 630km.
