Even in the fifth month of 2024, Mahindra still seems to have a decent backlog of unsold MY2023 SUVs – including the XUV400 EV, XUV300, XUV700 and Scorpio-N – which has prompted the massive discounts and benefits on these models to continue. In fact, the big cash discounts on the MY2023 XUV700 and Scorpio-N remain the same, while benefits on the XUV300 have increased. Here’s how much you could save on your new Mahindra SUV this month. Do note that there are no discounts available on the Scorpio, newly launched XUV 3XO, and the Thar, during May 2024.

It seems like the SUV specialist still has remaining inventory of MY2023 XUV400 EVs, which is why buyers can avail massive Rs 4.4 lakh worth of benefits on the all-electric SUV. The XUV400 EL with ESC made last year has a lower Rs 3.4 lakh off. Meanwhile, the heavily updated XUV400, which arrived in January this year and comes with a PRO suffix, can also be had with benefits up to Rs 1.4 lakh, depending on the variant, battery pack and charging capability selected.

Mahindra XUV700 discounts in May 2024

Discounts on Mahindra’s flagship SUV continue, with a flat Rs 1.5 lakh in cash discounts available on select MY2023 variants. The maximum discount is available for all variants, except for the AX5 7-seater diesel in manual and automatic form, and the AX5 7-seater petrol-manual; these trims get a Rs 1.3 lakh cash discount. The company is not offering any benefits on the MY2024 XUV700.

The XUV700 is powered by either a 200hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine or a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine in two states of tune – 156hp and 360Nm in the entry-level variants, and 185hp and 420Nm (450Nm with AT) on the higher-spec variants. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. However, only the diesel engine gets an all-wheel drive option. Prices for the Mahindra XUV700 range between Rs 13.99 lakh-27.14 lakh (ex-showroom India).

Mahindra Scorpio-N discounts in May 2024

Like the XUV700, the same discounts available last month on the Scorpio-N are also on offer this month – MY2023 models have a Rs 1 lakh cash discount, albeit only for the top-spec Z8 and Z8L diesel variants with 4WD. Prices for the Scorpio N currently range between Rs 13.60 lakh-24.54 lakh (ex-showroom, India). While the SUV doesn’t have a direct rival, its price sees it competes with the likes of the Tata SafariMahindra XUV700MG Hector Plus and Hyundai Alcazar.
