The Mahindra XUV 3XO CNG has been launched at a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom. Bookings and deliveries for the CNG SUV will start on October 20, 2026. This is the Mahindra SUV's fourth powertrain option, joining the turbo-petrol, diesel and electric versions.

Mahindra XUV 3XO CNG powertrain specs
Mahindra is offering the choice of a CNG kit with the 1.2-litre MPFI (multi-point fuel injection) turbo-petrol engine. In both petrol and CNG modes, peak outputs are 111hp and 200Nm. This has been made possible by optimised turbocharger calibration and ECU mapping, as per Mahindra. The system can automatically switch to petrol mode when CNG runs low. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed manual unit, and the claimed mileage is 24.7km/kg.
To maximise boot space, it gets a dual CNG tank setup. Boot capacity is 270 litres, and the spare wheel is mounted under the body.
Mahindra XUV 3XO CNG interior and features
The CNG version does not feature any changes to the interior design and layout. Depending on the trim, features like panoramic sunroof, black colour leatherette seats, 10.25-inch each driver's display and touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Dolby Atmos and more are on offer.
Six airbags, electronic stability control and Isofix child seat mounts are standard safety features.
Mahindra XUV 3XO CNG exterior highlights
Like the interior, the SUV’s exterior remains unchanged; a 'ZNG' badge on the tailgate identifies the CNG version. Depending on the trim, it gets features such as 16-inch alloy wheels, a body-coloured grille, LED projector headlamps and DRLs, connected LED tail-lights and more.
The XUV 3XO CNG will take on rivals like the Maruti Brezza (Rs 9.4 lakh-11.6 lakh) and Tata Nexon (Rs 8.35 lakh-13.42 lakh), which offer the choice of a factory-fitted CNG kit.
