Mahindra XEV 9S 6-seat: What’s new?

The individual captain seats aside, there aren’t any major changes to the interior of the Mahindra XEV 9S. These seats come with individual armrests, which can be flipped up to create more space to access the third row. The gap between the captain chairs also means that getting in and out of the third row will be easier when compared to the 7-seat configuration.

Finally, the floor space liberated because of these captain seats will allow those seated in the third row to stretch out better, improving overall comfort. Conveniences such as the rear AC vents and dual 65W USB charging ports have been carried over from the 7-seat variants.

The 6-seat option is available with all but the entry-level Pack One Above trim. The Pack Two and Pack Three variants are offered with a 79kWh battery pack, while the former is also sold with a 70kWh unit. All variants have a single rear-mounted electric motor generating 380Nm of torque, with all but the Pack Two variant producing 286hp – the latter’s motor output is capped at 245hp. The maximum claimed range of the 70kWh variant is 600km and that of the 79kWh variant is 679km.
