Royal Enfield Bullet 650 FAQs

At 243kg, the Bullet 650 is heavy for a motorcycle and you will notice the weight when parking, pushing it around or making very low-speed manoeuvres. However, the weight becomes much less noticeable once the bike is moving, and its generous turning radius makes filtering through traffic relatively easy. So, it can be used in the city, but riders who frequently deal with tight parking spaces or need to move the bike manually should be comfortable with its weight.

The Bullet 650's upright riding position and thickly padded, single-piece stepped seat make it well suited to longer rides. The seat allows the rider to spend long hours in the saddle without excessive fatigue, while the single-piece setup also provides a more practical pillion arrangement than the Classic 650's split-seat design. The rear suspension remains relatively stiff, though, so larger road imperfections can still be felt.

The 800mm seat height is relatively accessible, but seat height alone doesn't tell the whole story. The wide 648cc engine splays the rider's legs outward, making it harder to get both feet flat on the ground. A 5ft 11in person could just about place both feet flat, so shorter riders should definitely sit on the bike before buying.

The Bullet 650 can handle normal broken roads, but its 154mm ground clearance is relatively low and needs to be considered on large speed breakers and particularly poor surfaces. Its rear suspension is also stiff, although the thickly padded seat takes some of the sharpness out of impacts. It is therefore better suited to normal Indian roads than particularly rough or trail-like surfaces.
