Yamaha conducted the first session of its Children Safety Program today at the New Delhi Public School in Vikas Puri, Delhi, to educate children about road safety. More than 200 students aged between five and 12 years attended this programme, which included safety measures and tips, along with theory and practical exams, and followed by interactive sessions with Yamaha’s brand mascot, Zippy.
Speaking on the occasion, Roy Kurian, VP Sales & Marketing, Yamaha Motor India said, “Yamaha has been promoting road safety/safe riding habits for almost five years now. But the Yamaha Children Safety Program (YCSP) is a unique social initiative by the company to educate and influence both parents and children about vital road safety measures.”
With the Yamaha Child Safety Program (YCSP), the company is planning to cover 500 schools across India by 2014.
