Yamaha has updated its Fascino for 2018 with new colour schemes and a redesigned grab rail. Priced at Rs 54,593 (ex-showroom Delhi), it is now available in a total of seven colours – Glamorous Gold, Dapper Blue, Beaming Blue, Dazzling Grey, Sizzling Cyan, Spotlight White and Sassy Cyan.

The Fascino first made its debut in 2015, back then it was only available in single-tone colours and came with a BS-III engine. In 2017, however, the scooter got the mandatory BS-IV update and two-tone paint schemes. The redesigned grab rail on the latest update marks the first cosmetic change on the scooter since its debut, three years ago. The grab rail is now considerably larger and sits much higher, which should increase its usability.

All seven colours feature new graphics and dual-tone brown-coloured seats. However, four of the seven colours – Beaming Blue, Dazzling Grey, Sizzling Cyan and Spotlight White – come with a blacked-out headlight cowl. The Fascino continues to be powered by the 113cc single-cylinder motor that produces 7.1hp and 8.1Nm of torque.

In terms of competition, Yamaha's two-wheeler takes on the TVS Wego, Honda Activa-i, Suzuki Lets and the Hero Pleasure.
