Royal Enfield has launched a brand-new women's apparel and riding gear line in India. This is the first time that the company has introduced a range of official clothing and accessories for women, ever since it launched the Royal Enfield apparel line in 2014. The Women's line includes jackets, pants, gloves, helmets, t-shirts, shirts and jeans. Prices begin at Rs 700 and go all the way up to Rs 14,000. Customers can purchase these at select Royal Enfield stores in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Kolkata, as well as at the Royal Enfield online store.

Royal Enfield says that the women's apparel line has been created with India's diverse weather in mind and the riding habits of its customers. For hot and humid areas, for example, it has the Breeze mesh jacket and pant, for optimal ventilation. At the other end of the spectrum is the Nubra all-weather jacket, with three removable layers to take on varying weather conditions. These jackets feature CE Level 1 armour as standard.

In addition to these, there are classic RE leather jackets, as well as a specially coated cotton jacket with leather details. These jackets have pockets to slide in armour, which is sold separately.

The helmet range includes a half-face helmet and a full-face helmet, the latter being DOT and ECE R 22.05 safety approved.

While this is the company’s first collection of apparel and gear exclusively for women, Royal Enfield is expected to launch more products in the coming months. This could include riding boots, an important safety gear that is missing in the first collection.

As more and more women hop onto motorcycles, as a rider or pillion, it is imperative that they wear riding gear that is tailor-made for them. This ensures a proper fit, which is crucial for all-round safety.
