TVS Motor has confirmed that Norton’s new 1,200cc superbike will be launched in India, shortly after its global debut at EICMA 2025 (November 4). The update came during the company’s Q1 FY26 earnings call, where it outlined the roadmap for the British marque it acquired in 2020.

Norton to launch its flagship in India and Europe
TVS says that the flagship model will be offered at an accessible price point.
Norton’s 1,200cc superbike will be the first of three all-new Norton models – each with multiple variants – aimed at re-establishing the 126-year-old brand in key markets, including the UK, Europe, and now India.
The upcoming 1,200cc superbike will mark the beginning of Norton’s next-generation portfolio, with the unveiling slated for Q3 FY26 (October–December 2025). In the earnings call, TVS said that the flagship model will be competitively priced, a signal that the brand’s new era will aim for greater accessibility compared to Norton’s past uber premium luxury positioning.
The bike was recently teased and also spotted testing, notably with TVS MD Sudarshan Venu seen riding it suggesting that final-stage validation is underway. The teaser also offered a glimpse of its exhaust note, pointing to a new four-cylinder engine platform, likely in a V configuration, which would position it as Norton’s new flagship.
India entry confirmed, localisation on the cards.
TVS has confirmed that the superbike will also go on sale in India, with retail plans currently being finalised. A dedicated distribution and marketing strategy is being built for the domestic market, with further details to be revealed closer to launch.
While Norton’s Solihull facility in the UK will remain the brand’s global engineering hub, select future models will be produced at TVS’ Hosur plant in Tamil Nadu, aligning with the company’s broader localisation goals.
Europe launch in Q1 FY27.
Norton’s new global product line will be built around three core models, each spawning multiple variants, taking the total line-up to six. Of the three, two platforms are being developed from the ground up, while the existing V4 platform is being comprehensively overhauled. It remains to be seen what becomes of the current line-up, including the 961 retro models, as no official details have been shared yet. These unveils will be staggered across Q3 and Q4 FY26, with a European rollout planned for Q1 FY27.
TVS emphasised that it has taken a measured investment approach with Norton so far but will now shift gears with a strong marketing push to rebuild brand awareness globally. It also reiterated its long-term focus on quality, technology, and features across both ICE and EV segments, including Norton.
