Specifications of the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure have been revealed and this bike is quite different from its predecessor. Here, we’ll list out all the differences

KTM 390 Adventure engine changes

Since the 2025 390 Adventure is based on the same engine platform as the latest 390 Duke, it is powered by the latest 399cc motor. This engine is rated for 46hp and 39Nm of torque, an increase of 2.5hp and 2Nm over the earlier 373cc powerplant.

KTM 390 Adventure features, styling changes

While the earlier 390 Adventure was a decently feature-rich machine, the new one takes things a notch further. Part of the equipment list are features like adjustable suspension, riding modes, 21/17-inch tubeless wire-spoke wheels, cornering ABS and traction control and for the first time on a sub-500cc ADV tourer in India, cruise control.

The 2025 bike also has a radical styling departure compared to the older bike and it now looks more purposeful than ever before. It has a slimmer design overall with a stepped single-piece seat replacing the older bike’s split seats.

KTM 390 Adventure dimensions, cycle parts changes

Something that is sure to feel apparent from the minute you swing a leg over the new 390 Adventure is its lower 830mm perch, which is a full 25mm less than the previous bike. Despite that significantly lower perch, the new bike has a huge 227mm of ground clearance available. This is courtesy of the new suspension units, which have 200/205mm (F/R) of travel, which is (and this is becoming a recurring theme here) quite a bit more than the earlier bike. Both the earlier model and the 2025 bike have identical fuel capacities, at 14.5 litres, but the 2025 390 Adventure weighs 183kg, 6 kilos more than the outgoing bike.

The 2025 KTM 390 Adventure is slated to launch in India in the coming days along with the lower-spec and more riad-biased variant, the 390 Adventure X.
